We welcome proposals from colleagues in all roles and from institutions across the research and innovation community in Scotland.

What are we looking for?

Scottish Research Integrity & Culture Week is a platform to showcase, share and celebrate activity that supports positive research cultures across Scotland. We welcome a wide range of contributions, which might include: workshops, seminars, training sessions, panel discussions, networking events or creative approaches. We encourage submissions from colleagues across the research and research professional community in Scotland. 

Event types

We welcome submissions for Programme Events, Showcase Events and Practice Spotlights. If you have an idea but are unsure about any aspect of developing or delivering it, please submit it anyway.

• Programme Event: Online or in-person events hosted by organisations across Scotland and open to all participants during Research Integrity and Culture Week. Programme Events form part of the wider national programme and provide opportunities to share ideas, practice, learning and discussion with colleagues from across the sector.
• Showcase Event: Interactive sessions, workshops, panels or activities delivered as part of the National Showcase Event in Glasgow on Tuesday 9th March 2026.
• Showcase Events bring participants together in person to explore key themes, exchange perspectives and engage with current research culture and integrity initiatives.
• Practice spotlight: Short, engaging talks delivered as part of the National Showcase Event, highlighting examples of research culture and integrity practice from across Scotland. Spotlight talks are an opportunity to share innovative approaches, lessons learned and emerging ideas, showcasing the diversity of activity taking place across institutions, disciplines and communities.

What will happen to my submission?

All submissions received before the deadline will be reviewed by members of the Scottish Research Integrity & Culture Week Steering Group. When reviewing submissions, we will be guided by the following principles:

•  Ensuring representation from a diversity of institutions, networks and groups.

•  Ensuring representation from a diversity of voices across career stages and roles.

•  Showcasing activities that exemplify collaboration wherever possible.

•  Showcasing a diversity of research culture and integrity topics through a variety of event types

•  Including a broad range of research culture and integrity topics.

•  Providing a variety of event types and opportunities for engagement.

You may be contacted during the review process to discuss your proposal further or to explore opportunities to collaborate with another proposer.

How can I collaborate?

Collaboration is one of the core principles of Scottish Research Integrity & Culture Week. We strongly encourage proposals that bring together colleagues from different institutions, disciplines, roles and career stages. 

You do not need to have collaborators identified before submitting your idea.

If you submit a proposal on a topic that aligns closely with another submission, we may invite proposers to work together to develop a collaborative session. This helps us to reduce duplication, share expertise and workload and strengthen connections across the sector.

What help is available?

 We recognise that institutions have different levels of resource and support available to enable participation with Scottish Research Integrity and Culture Week. If you require additional assistance, please tell us about this in your submission. 

What is expected if my idea is selected?

If your proposal is selected, we will share guidance on next steps. The list below gives an indication of expectations of event hosts. The Steering Group and the event team will be available to support throughout.

1. Plan your event including arranging speakers and selecting an appropriate platform or venue and registration tool (e.g. Teams, Zoom, Eventbrite).
2. Promote your event Hosts are encouraged to actively promote their event through their own institutional and professional networks. A link to your registration page will be included in the central SRI&C Week programme webpage and comms materials will be shared with event hosts. 
3. Collect and share data on registration, attendance and feedback. Guidance and templates will be provided to enable collective analysis across all events.
